Quick Formatting Tips in WordTip content

When working on a document in Word 2007, you may decide to alter the formatting of certain parts of your document.

Changing text formatting throughout your document is easy if you use styles, but many people are not comfortable using styles when they format documents. Does that mean you need to manually change all parts of your document? Not in Word 2007.

Say, for example that you want to change all text in your document that is bold, 16-point Times New Roman. Simply position your cursor in a section of your document containing this formatting. Just clicking in one word will do. In the Editing section of Word 2007’s Home ribbon, click Select and choose Select Text with Similar Formatting. Any changes made will now apply to all the text selected

Government Funding Available for Training

The Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development has established a new initiative, the Workplace Training for Innovation Pilot Program (WTIP). The program is designed to provide funding to eligible employers with less than 50 staff for the employee training of their choice, delivered by the training provider of their choice. Through WTIP, employers decide on the training and the training provider best suited to assist them to improve productivity, enhance competitiveness, and/or introduce new technology, equipment, or work processes.

There are hundreds of training options available across the province for employers to choose from, including colleges or private training institutions. The Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development has not pre-approved nor endorsed any courses, programs, or training providers with respect to WTIP. Feature Course: Adobe Acrobat

To some, these common updates might be your experience with Adobe Acrobat. Now joking aside, Adobe Acrobat is actually a very useful program, and those that take our Adobe Acrobat course are amazed at its capabilities. Adobe Acrobat creates PDF files- Portable document files, which are universally accessible files that are easily exchanged electronically through email or a website. Our Adobe Acrobat course will teach you how to create PDF files and how to setup easy navigation for your users. Additionally we cover many of the other great features in Acrobat such as combining files, organizing files, applying headers and footers, and setting up security. Welcome to Reen Rose, a new Microsoft and Accounting Trainer with PowerConcepts. Reen has a Bachelor of Education Degree from University of Victoria. She was a teacher in England, and has recently returned to her home town of Kelowna.
